OK, I've decided to switch to Blogger rather than LiveJournal, so here's the newest and final (hopefully for a while, anyway!) address:

Five Items in My Closet
1. Various toys 2. A huge box of tangled hangers (Yep, it started with just two!) 3. Old maternity clothes 4. A couple of twirly things waiting to be hung from Katie's ceiling 5. A full-spectrum light box (for SAD)
Five Items in my Car
1. A full waste basket 2. A soft My Little Pony with brushable hair 3. A small pair of pink fleece pants 4. Small white pills in the ashtray, left by the previous owners (I'm *not* saving them for future use!) 5. A large stroller
Five Items in my Purse

| We did go and take a look at the pool. We got to go in and stick our feet in and sit at the side for a while. It was nice. One of our neighbors was there with her kids, too. We may go swimming tomorrow. I have to see if Katie's old swim diaper will fit Luke. One nice thing about the park is that it's within walking distance of our home, so we could just walk home in our suits. I'd probably want to throw some shorts on or something, but I don't know if they have lockers there or anything. Hm... I'll have to slather us all with sunscreen before we go, and find Luke's sun hat. (He has such little hair.) I think it might be fun. :) It exhausts me a bit thinking about it, though. | | |
| Our neighborhood pool opens today. We had thought about going swimming, but Katie tore a hangnail last night and I was afraid the chlorine would sting the cut. I told Katie we would go and look at the pool and stop at the park right next to it, but right now I don't feel like going out in the heat. Ugh. Sunscreen, hot sun beating down. It's OK occasionally if water is close by, but I typically don't care for the heat. Maybe I'll take them after Luke's second nap. | | |
| I went to a Friends of the Library book sale on Friday and this is what I bought:
The Secure Child: Helping Our Children Feel Safe and Confident in a Changing World Attachments: Why You Love, Feel, and Act the Way You Do Wise Women: A Celebration of Their Insights, Courage, and Beauty The Barefoot Princess (fic) My Fair Temptress (fic) Blindside (fic) Chutneys & Relishes Condiments Kids Are Worth It! Today's Herbal Health for Children Rainbow Man (fic) Redeeming Love (Chr fic)
I don't usually buy secular romance novels, but the stories on these (The Barefoot Princess and My Fair Temptress) looked good. Blindside is a mystery novel. I'll add links and the children's books we bought (and any others I bought and am forgetting) later. Wise Women is a really great book of photographs of older women. Rainbow Man is a sci-fi book which looked really interesting. I rarely read sci-fi, but will if a storyline interests me. | | |
